George Robertson
George Robertson hails from the Far Northeast Cost of the Scottish Highlands overlooking views to the Cromarty Firth and Black Isle.
From a young age, George has had a passion for music. Growing up he listened to music from the Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, JJ Cale, and more. Just after his 17th birthday, George’s father passed away which left a huge hole in his heart and led to a life spiraling out of control.
After coming back and believing that this way of life would lead to a dark outcome, George decided to shake himself up, brush himself down and try to live a life where he is easier on himself. George cleaned up his act, which led to an apprenticeship in welding and fabrication, which he has now done for four years.
During this time, George found a love for teaching himself guitar. After only learning a few Beatles and Pink Floyd numbers he immediately started to compose his own songs. From then on, music became his passion. Soon after, George formed many bands with many different friends playing headline shows in and around the whole of Scotland, selling out shows playing his own songs.
George Robertson’s songwriting became very popular, but with the untimely end to his band Catching Amy, George’s live performances would now tether off. As a result, decided to go into the world of Non-Destructive Testing. After getting a lucky break from a local company his welding inspection career took off, with worldwide job assignments from the Black Sea to the Baltic and Mediterranean Sea.
During this time, George found a renewed sense of desire for music, and the long journeys abroad fueled his creative drive. Now, he looks to make a splash in his return to songwriting and performances.
